Trip Overview

Escape the ordinary and venture into the captivating landscapes of the Manaslu region with our 23-day Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek. This off-the-beaten-path adventure takes you through remote villages, ancient monasteries, and pristine forests, offering a glimpse into the authentic culture and breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas.

The journey begins with a scenic drive to Macchakhola, where you'll start your trek along the Budi Gandaki River.  You'll traverse through charming Gurung villages, cross suspension bridges, and ascend into the hidden gem of the Tsum Valley.  Here, time seems to stand still as you explore traditional Tibetan villages, encounter ancient monasteries, and witness the unique way of life of the Tsumba people.

After immersing yourself in the cultural richness of the Tsum Valley, you'll rejoin the Manaslu Circuit trail and continue your ascent towards the majestic Manaslu.  The trail winds through diverse landscapes, from lush forests and terraced fields to high-altitude meadows and glacial moraines.  You'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, including Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Ganesh Himal.

The highlight of the trek is crossing the challenging Larke La Pass (5,106m), which offers panoramic vistas of the Himalayan range.  The sense of accomplishment and the sheer beauty of the surroundings will leave you in awe.

Our experienced guides will lead you every step of the way, ensuring your safety and comfort. We'll provide comfortable accommodation in teahouses and lodges, and our porters will carry your gear, allowing you to focus on the experience.

Trip Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal, the land of the Himalayas! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.  Settle in and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Thamel, the main tourist hub. In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome dinner with your trekking guide to discuss the upcoming adventure.

FAQs

While the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek offers incredible rewards, it's considered a moderately challenging trek.  It requires a good level of fitness and some prior trekking experience. You should be comfortable with walking for 5-7 hours per day, sometimes on uneven terrain and at higher altitudes. However, with proper preparation and a positive attitude, it's achievable for motivated beginners.

  • Please let us know your flight info while booking.
  • Always ask your physician to make sure you can handle this trek in the Himalayas.
  • Temperatures are warm and pleasant in the city and cold in the mountains.
  • You can get Nepal’s Visa on arrival in airport or other entry point of Nepal.
  • Get Travel insurance and make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months
  • Bring warm clothes that can be layered and sunglasses to adjust as temperatures vary.
  • Trekking boots and lightweight poncho or raincoat is recommended.
  • Take plenty of batteries and Nepalese currency for your personal use.
