    Introduction - Bandipur Village Tour -1 N/2 D

“Create infinite memories in small places”

Bandipur is a beautiful village in the Mahabharat range. It is located 143 km west of Kathmandu and 80 km east of Pokhara. The village of Bandipur is situated on the hilltop with preserved cultural and traditional norms and values. Newar community thrives in the village as it was meant to be a trade route for the people of Bhaktapur. Originally the settlement of Magars, many ethnic communities live in the area: Bahuns, Chhetri, Newars, Magars, Kamis, Gurungs, Damais, and Sarkis. Bandipur is now designated as a major tourism attraction and an eco-cultural project was introduced called Bandipur Eco-Cultural Tourism Project (BECT-Project) to lift the importance of Bandipur.

Bandipur village not only looks down on the Marshyangdi river valley but also has a scenic view of the Himalayas of Nepal such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. It also has views of Mount Manakamana and Gorkha at its highest point. The place is more easily accessible than in the past, so it is the perfect getaway spot for a few short days. The major attraction of Bandipur is the Newari architecture that has been preserved due to the isolation of the hilltop for many years due to no road access. Traditional festivals and dances like Sorathi and Chutka are very famous in the region. The facility of homestay is also available in Bandipur but there are also many luxurious hotels and stay inns to stay-in in Bandipur. There is also a hiking spot in Bandipur village to view the great Himalayas with astonishing views of cities. Many local and traditional temples are found in the region of Bandipur. Temples like Bindabashini, Chandi Barahi, Khadka Devi, and Mukundeshwari are in the region of Bandipur village.

Although the village of Bandipur is small, it has great significance in the history, religion, and culture of Nepal.
