Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
We visit the fascinating Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is considered to be the most fascinating among the three Durbar Squares in the alley. The Durbar square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it showcases the rich, ancient Newari arts of the valley. The temples, monasteries, palaces and courtyard in the city has ornately carved art and designs. The golden figures of the ancient kings perched on the top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their temple, the wood carvings in every place-struts, lintels, uprights, tympanums, gateways and windows, all seem to form a well orchestrated symphony. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is best appreciated by sitting and watching while one of the many religious festivals and processions passes by. We can see many workshops as we stroll around the city as it is known for its art, architecture pottery and woodcarving.
Pashupatinath is the most important Hindu temple on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. The temple is surrounded by a bustling market of religious stalls selling flowers, prasad (offerings), incense, Rudraksha beads, pictures of Hindu deities and temples and other essential religious paraphernalia. This is one of the most sacred Hindu temple in the world, and we see the devotees from all around the world flock to Pashupatinath. We can see the temple premises filled with the devotees and Sadhu, the holy men. Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the main temple, but the surrounding complex of shrines and ghats is fascinating to watch.

The highly architecture of the shrine is highly symbolic and serves in essence as a three-dimensional reminder of the Buddha’s path towards enlightenment.
